It sometimes overwhelms you with all the readings and lore dump, but the story and setting is very good. My first isometric crpg was Pillars of Eternity 1 and I think it's a good intro to the genre. Thank you for all the responses, I’ve read all of them and it’s really cool to see a community like this. I wouldn’t want to feel like rushing a game just to play another. Since I have a huge backlog I usually play the games I’m most interested in first. The main reasons why is because I really want to play it and have a huge backlog. I play on PS4 and only played and finished the “mainstream” RPGs like Fallout 4, FF7R, KH1, Witcher 3, Bloodborne, DS1 etc.Įdit: Alright so I’ve made up my mind and is going to play DOS2 first. I really want to play DOS2 but feel like I need to play PoE first. But since PoE is said to be hard especially for newish RPG players like me idk. It’s like if I’m going to play a sequel, I should play the original so I can see what they changed and did better for the sequel. I feel like I should play PoE first since it’s older and prob has “outdated” systems in it compared to newer CRPGs. So now that I have Divinity Original Sin 2, which one should I play first? Never got to playing it since there was other games I was playing at the time. I made a post awhile back discussing if I should play POE as my first CRPG since that was the only CRPG I could play and it being a known one too.
